It seems I'm having this issue every time I strip the gun. It seems like the recoil spring pops out of the spot it sits on the barrel when I push the slide back to put the takedown pin back in. Because I lock the slide back, then release the slide and move it forward to remove the slide again, and it's already stuck. I did not try to push the hammer back in fear of damaging anything. Has anyone experienced the same issue ... But it has a hammer, which in my opinion is a good thing. But the Security 9 is a very functional pistol. Accuracy is not quite as good as the American Pistol, but it is adequate. I like the trigger. I hate the sights, probably spend the $77 and get a proper set of steel sights from Ruger. I also hate the safety.
